How to apply and what happens next

Fill in the short form on your programme's page, book a 15-minute call, and we take you from there to your first day.

  1. Apply. Go to the programme you want and use the application form. It takes about two minutes.
  2. Book your call. After you apply you can pick a time for a 15-minute admissions call with an admissions rep. We aim to be in touch within one working day.
  3. Your admissions call. Your rep answers your questions, checks you are eligible, checks your job fits the programme, and helps you get your employer on board.
  4. Your employer agrees. Your manager agrees to release your time. Your employer signs an agreement with us and registers on the government's apprenticeship service. We guide your HR team through it.
  5. Onboarding in Aptem. Aptem is our programme management system. In it you give your personal details, your right to work and your prior qualifications; take short English, maths and digital skills assessments; tell us about any support you need; and score yourself against every part of your programme's standard (your "skills radar").
  6. Your pre-start meeting. You, your line manager and your coach meet for about an hour. Your coach goes through your skills radar, agrees anything you already know (which can shorten your plan), confirms the programme fits your job and checks your time will be released. This happens before the kick-off.
  7. Sign your agreement and training plan. You, your employer and we sign them in Aptem. You then get access to Teams and to the academy, our learning platform.
  8. Kick-off and your first day. Your group meets for a kick-off before the start date. Your official start date is your first day of learning.

Start dates

"What our funded programmes are, and which one fits" lists the next start dates for each programme. Data Engineering and Data & AI Governance are not taking applications; you can register your interest on their pages.
