References, complaints and data requests

Formal complaints go to complaints@io-sphere.io and data protection requests to dpo@io-sphere.io. For anything else, including reference requests, email info@io-sphere.io and we'll pass it to the right person.

Employment references

For a reference for a former member of staff or learner, email info@io-sphere.io and we'll pass it to the right person.

Making a complaint

  1. Informally first: raise it with the programme team or our management team. If you are not sure who to contact, email info@io-sphere.io. Most complaints are resolved this way.
  2. Formal complaint: email complaints@io-sphere.io with the subject "Formal Complaint", saying what happened and the outcome you want. We acknowledge it within 2 working days and respond in writing within 10 working days of that (up to 20 if it is complex, and we will tell you).
  3. Appeal: if you are unhappy with the outcome, write to the Managing Director within 10 working days. You get a final written response within 15 working days. The Complaints Policy gives the address.
  4. Outside organisation: if you are still unhappy once our procedure is complete, you can take your complaint to an outside organisation. For apprenticeships and the Oxfordshire Skills Bootcamp, that is the Department for Education, through its Customer Help Portal at customerhelpportal.education.gov.uk, within 12 months of the issue. The Complaints Policy names the right organisation for each programme.
